The Cacophonous Destruction

A Poem, by ChatGPT

The mountains rise above the town,
A peaceful place to settle down.
But now the state has come to take
This beauty for a park’s own sake.

The ancient trees will be cut down
For campsites on this sacred ground,
And all the wildlife will be displaced,
Their homes destroyed without a trace.

The CCC’s work, so grand and true,
Will be forgotten, as if it never knew
The beauty it created for all to see,
Now ruined by greed and apathy.

The trails once walked by nature’s grace
Will be replaced by concrete space,
And all who come will never know
The peace this land used to bestow.

Oh, citizens of Berkeley Springs,
Stand up and speak out, let your voices ring!
For if we do not take a stand,
This land will vanish from our hands.
